Who We Are

Our story

From three friends to one shared promise.

We Aspire NPC did not begin in a boardroom. It began with three people, in three different worlds. One builds brands in digital marketing. One works in chemistry. One in technical services. On paper we have little in common. In truth we share the one thing that changed everything for us.

Each of us was once a student who could not have made it alone. Support from complete strangers carried us when our own families could not, and we have never forgotten what it feels like to have someone believe in you before you have proven a single thing. Someone reached back for us. Now it is our turn to reach back for someone else.

So we made a choice. Every year we give, quietly and consistently, into this organisation, because we know exactly what one act of faith can unlock in a young person's life. We stand fully behind our chairperson and the vision that guides us: to fund the first 100 scholars, one story at a time.

What started as a small fund among friends, just enough to keep a few students registered, has grown into something with roots in three core pillars: Education, Mentorship and Emergency Relief.

In 2026 we made our first full commitment. One student, now at university, whose tuition, textbooks, laptop and monthly stipend are all carried by We Aspire through to the day she graduates.

That is scholar number one. There are ninety-nine more to find by 2030. We are not here to hand out temporary relief and walk away. We are here to break the cycle of poverty in a family for good, so that one degree becomes a home, a career, a generation that never has to start from nothing again.

This is the truth we hold onto: talent is spread evenly across South Africa, but opportunity is not. Somewhere right now there is a brilliant young mind waiting for the one yes that changes their entire life. Your donation is that yes.

You do not need to save a hundred students. You only need to help us reach the next one. Every rand you give becomes a textbook, a bus fare, a full night of study instead of a night of worry. It becomes a future that would not have existed without you.

If not us, then who? If not now, then when?

One story can start a movement. Let this be the one. Give today, and aspire with us.

An idea becomes an organisation

We Aspire is formally registered with the CIPC as a non-profit company — registration 2026/101143/08.

2026

Our first fully funded scholar

A fund collected among friends becomes a full commitment: 100% of one student's qualification — tuition, textbooks, a laptop and a monthly stipend — carried by We Aspire through to completion. She is at university today.

2026

Three pillars take shape

Registration and fee support, devices and connectivity, transport and daily costs, and placement kit become our four core programmes, run directly with universities, universities of technology and TVET colleges.

Now

The We Aspire 100 — 99 places open

One circle on the grid is gold. We are looking for the Founding Partners who will claim the other ninety-nine, and inviting each of them to write to the student they back.

2030 · The goal

One hundred scholars, fully funded

Our headline goal. One hundred South Africans whose entire post-school qualification was paid for — and a model any organisation can replicate.
