Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use this website or give to We Aspire NPC — including how recurring gifts work, how to cancel, and when we refund.
Last updated 11 September 2026 · We Aspire NPC · Registration 2026/101143/08
The short version. Your gift goes to our education work. Monthly and weekly gifts repeat until you ask us to stop, and you can stop them at any time with one email. If you gave by mistake, tell us within 30 days and we will refund you. We never see or store your card details.
Who we are
This website, weaspire.co.za, is operated by We Aspire NPC, a non-profit company registered in South Africa under registration number 2026/101143/08, based in Midrand, Johannesburg. You can reach us at info@weaspire.co.za.
By using this website or making a donation, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or give through it.
Donations
Your gift is a donation
A donation is a voluntary gift. You receive no goods or services in return. We Aspire is a non-profit company: we do not distribute profit to anyone, and all income is applied to our purpose of funding the education and well-being of South African students.
How your money is used
Unless you tell us otherwise, your donation supports our work as a whole — registration and tuition, full funding through The We Aspire 100, devices and data, transport and daily costs, placement kit, and the running costs that make that work possible. We apply gifts where the need is greatest at the time.
If you want your gift used for something specific, tell us before or when you give. We will honour a specific request wherever we reasonably can; if we cannot, we will tell you and offer to redirect or return the gift.
Monthly and weekly gifts (The Aspire Circle)
- When you choose Monthly or Weekly, you authorise us, through our payment provider Paystack, to charge the same amount to the same payment method at that interval, starting on the day you sign up.
- The gift repeats until you cancel it. There is no minimum period and no cancellation fee.
- To cancel or change the amount, email info@weaspire.co.za from the address you gave with. We will stop it before the next charge if we receive your request at least two working days before that charge is due. You may also cancel using the link in your Paystack receipt email, where one is provided.
- If a payment fails — for example because a card has expired — Paystack may retry it. If it keeps failing, the gift will stop and we may email you to ask whether you would like to restart it.
Once-off gifts
A once-off gift is charged once. Nothing is stored for future charges and nothing repeats.
Minimum amounts and currency
The minimum card donation is R20. All amounts are in South African rand (ZAR). If you give with a card issued outside South Africa, your bank converts the amount into your own currency and may add its own foreign-exchange fee; that fee is set by your bank, not by us.
Payments are processed by Paystack
Card, bank, EFT and other electronic payments are processed by Paystack Payments South Africa. Your payment details are entered directly into Paystack's secure checkout and are subject to Paystack's terms. We never see, receive or store your card number.
You may also give by direct bank transfer (EFT) using the banking details on our Donate page. Please use your name as the payment reference and email us proof of payment so we can acknowledge your gift.
Refunds
Donations are generally not refundable, because the money is put to work quickly. We will, however, refund:
- a gift made in error — the wrong amount, a duplicate payment, or a recurring gift you meant to make once — if you tell us within 30 days of the charge;
- any charge made after you asked us to cancel a recurring gift in line with these terms; and
- any payment taken without your authorisation.
Email info@weaspire.co.za with the date, amount and payment reference. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 10 working days, although your bank may take longer to show it.
Receipts and tax
You will receive a payment receipt by email for every card donation. We are not currently approved to issue section 18A tax certificates, so donations to We Aspire are not yet tax-deductible in South Africa. When that changes we will update this page and tell our donors.
Reporting to donors
Members of The Aspire Circle receive a monthly impact update showing how donations were used. These updates describe our work in good faith; individual students are referred to by first name only, and only with their consent.

Accuracy of information
We take care that the information on this site is accurate, and every statistic we publish names its source. Please do not use this website to break the law, to submit false or misleading information, to send spam through our forms, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or to interfere with the site's operation. We may block access or ignore submissions that do any of these things.
